Eternal Love?

Into a million pieces was the broken heart.
It was scrambling here and there to collect the pieces that had fallen apart.
If only there was something to seek relief, put together the pieces with tape.
It looked up in the everlasting horizon waiting for superman to come to its aid;
but alas, superheroes are just a false hope fantasy.
Too good to exist, making it hopeless in reality.
Heart managed to piece together its pieces but the everlasting shudder left a scar deeply engraved,
the sky was pitch black as the moon bewitchingly waved.
Treading down the memory lane, the flashbacks reopened the old wounds that were now afresh,
tears made their way from his eyes down to his cheeks as he skipped a step and fell.
There it saw a brightened hand in the blinding mist.
Failing to get back on its own, revealing agony, pain, a never-ending list
It hooked itself on the hand and lay there lost in time.
The mere touch made fireworks burst and oh the bells did chime.
The heart was sickening in the dungeon when the hand became the black knight to rescue.
The pitch, gloomy sky was now lighter, a pastel shade of hue.
Amidst the light, the scary shadows were shown to be beautiful blooming flowers.
They walked hand in hand for what may seem like hours.
The horizon was now plum, perhaps like cotton candy.
As their feet danced on the soil sandy.
But Honestly, is there ever a happily ever after?
What seemed like forever was climaxed by an unforeseen storm.
Another beautiful heart passed by, quite unlike its own scarred form.
The heart tightened its grip on the hand.
What seemed doom’s start was already an end.
And yet again the heart bashed with a thorn-filled wall breaking into a thousand pieces.
